People sometimes load up one side of a trade with multiple assets to try and equal the value of the more valuable side. The Package Adjustment helps offset that by adding to the overall value of the side with less assets. We recommend having this option turned ON, as it usually gives a more realistic view of a trade.

Overall Assessment

Absolutely not

While you'd be getting the most valuable asset in the trade in Christian McCaffrey, you'd be giving up a bit too much to make it happen. Therefore, we don't think you should make this trade.

Giving Pros & Cons

Ja'Marr Chase
wr • Bengals
75.7
Overall WR1 candidate had 1,400 yards in 2025 despite Joe Burrow missing half the season.
Bengals priority will be protecting Joe Burrow. If they succeed, Chase will explode.
Mild target volume concerns with Tee Higgins on the other side, but Chase will still get plenty.
De'Von Achane
rb • Dolphins
69.9
Dynamic player with elite speed is a true threat to score from anywhere on the field.
Heavy passing game involvement raises his ceiling.
Smaller size (5'9", 188) makes him more susceptible to injuries.
Jaylen Wright & Ollie Gordon both showed flashes in 2025 and could eat into Achane's touches a bit in 2026.

Getting Pros & Cons

Christian McCaffrey
rb • 49ers
77.8
Dynamic dual-threat player is always in the overall RB1 conversation if he stays healthy.
Even when YPC is down (like in 2025), still gets enough pass-game action to put up elite numbers.
Turns 30 before the season and is coming off a heavy workload in 2025.
Chris Olave
wr • Saints
47.5
Locked in as the Saints WR1, will garner a significant target share.
Career highs in receptions, yards and TDs in 2025, finishing as the WR6.
Some quarterback uncertainty with Tyler Shough likely the starter in 2026.

What is a Fantasy Football Trade Analyzer?

A fantasy football trade analyzer is a tool that compares players and/or draft picks involved in a proposed trade to estimate the relative value each side receives. It's a quick and easy way to validate decisions and get an objective perspective before making, accepting, or rejecting an offer. A sort of "sanity check" if you will.

How does the RotoTrade Trade Analyzer work?

RotoTrade's fantasy football trade analyzer evaluates trades using a dynamic player valuation model that adjusts throughout the season. Each player has separate values for redraft and dynasty leagues, and future draft picks can be included to reflect long-term roster strategy. Values are updated regularly to account for performance trends, injuries, and role changes.

The analyzer provides a quick, objective perspective to validate potential trade offers. Key features include:

Ultimately, the Trade Analyzer is an easy way to get a second opinion on any trade. If you ever receive an offer and think "That's not very fair," let RotoTrade confirm your feeling... or maybe let you know that it actually is fair. 🙂

Is the Trade Analyzer always right?

No trade evaluation tool can predict outcomes perfectly. Just like real-life trades, a lot depends on league settings, roster construction, and team needs. And outcomes often depend on luck, with the biggest luck factor being injuries (or lack thereof) to players involved in the trade.

The trade analyzer is not meant to be a definitive answer. Instead, it compares relative value to provide guidance as you look at all factors when determining whether or not to make a trade.

Things to consider when making a Fantasy Football Trade

The highest-value side on paper is not always the best move for your team. Roster balance matters. If you are deep at one position but weak at another, trading from strength to address a need can improve your starting lineup even if the raw values appear close — or slightly uneven.

Always evaluate your full roster, scoring settings, and playoff outlook alongside any trade recommendation. A trade analyzer should be one tool in your decision-making process, not the only factor.

Now, get to work on improving your team... try it now.
